The AI algorithm developed by NaviHealth, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth, has led to patients prematurely exiting rehabilitation programs and care facilities, forcing them to deplete their savings. Two family members of denied insurance claim patients have filed a lawsuit in Minnesota District Court, seeking to turn it into a class action that could impact tens of thousands nationwide.
